Meta Software Engineer (Leadership) - Sensitive Data Team in London, United Kingdom

We create solutions, build products and infrastructure and research new privacy-enhancing technologies that enables Meta to govern and protect the sensitive data we process.In our team, you will provide the leadership direction and expertise necessary to identify innovative solutions for highly ambiguous Privacy problems across the Sensitive Data space. You will develop and efficiently execute Privacy strategies across our products, and partner with organizations and technical leaders across the company. Join us!

Required Skills:

Software Engineer (Leadership) - Sensitive Data Team Responsibilities:

  1. Understand the technical ramifications of new Sensitive Data Privacy legislation across the world

  2. Drive the teams' strategy and technical direction across Meta's systems and products to satisfy Sensitive Data Privacy goals

  3. Design and implement critical pieces of shared product infrastructure to satisfy Sensitive Data Privacy goals across Meta's products and systems

  4. Partner & collaborate with organization and technical leaders across the company to guide Sensitive Data Privacy goals

  5. Provide mentorship and support to senior engineers in the Privacy org

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmaps in which shorter-term projects ladder to the long-term vision

  2. Experience in driving large cross-functional and industry-wide engineering efforts

  3. Significant experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions

  4. 12+ years of experience with building large-scale applications, tools, platforms or similar experience

  5. Significant experience in mentoring/influencing senior engineers across organizations

  6. 5+ years of industry experience in a domain with compliance requirements (e.g. supporting audits, or designing systems to be easily audited)

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience as a Software, Product or Privacy Engineer in the domains of Data Privacy, Data Lifecycle and Governance

  2. PhD in Privacy, Security or Programming Languages
