American Express’s FX & Global Payments product team is working to move the Global Commercial Services proposition ‘beyond the card’, by redefining our cross-border payments products and capabilities. We are innovating and growing Global Pay as a Service (GPaaS), our new international payments capability delivered via embedded experiences with use cases across Consumers and SMEs - such as remittances, checking account and invoice payments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the enterprise commercialisation strategy, collaborating with innovative teams across the Amex Enterprise, such as Digital Labs innovation teams, Checking Account teams and the Banking Centre of Excellence to design new payment use cases and bring to market

  • Collaborate with product and commercial teams to surface strategic options for the GPaaS product including new capabilities, new markets, new segments and product integrations

  • Collaborate with Product Development teams to evaluate build/architectural options for go to market viability and determine scope of imminent releases to support Global Pay and GPaaS

  • Develop and gain approval on ‘go to market’ materials (e.g. sales materials, training materials, customer collateral) for GPaaS

  • Stay abreast of market trends and innovation in the payment space

Qualifications:

  • Direct experience in FX & cross-border payments preferred

  • Prior experience bringing new products to market in a product or consultancy role

  • Prior experience building customer-centric product strategies, with a strong understanding of commercial value drivers

  • Strong stakeholder management skills – especially experience managing commercial stakeholders

  • Experience working within an AGILE product development environment

  • Highly organised, with experience building and delivering project plans

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent storyboarding and developing communications for senior management

  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Word
