POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Product Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team at MAC.

As an Assistant Product Marketing Manager, you will support the brand deliver exciting collections, collaborations and Holiday campaigns, and support lead the sampling and promotional strategy.

To ensure we take key learns from each activity and plan for excellence in execution, you will be in close contact with makeup artists and cross-functions to track results, key insights, and feedback for future activity.

As a beauty lover, you will be a market expert, and support the Product Marketing Assistant keep a close eye on competition and category trends to report monthly on innovation in the market, best in class execution and opportunities for the brand.

As a highly organized individual with a flair for creativity and excellent communication skills, you will work with suppliers and internal teams to project manage the creation of our local sets from packaging concept through to execution on counter.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about beauty, keen to develop the Product Marketing Assistant and is energized working in an exciting fast-paced environment.

WHAT THIS ROLE DOES

MARKETING CALENDAR

· Lead the maintenance of the Marketing Calendar, ensuring that on counter dates, promotion plans, and results are accurate and up to date.

· Cascade weekly email updates to ensure all channels are aligned to on counter date changes.

NEW LAUNCH SUPPORT

· Pull and analyse new launch sell through data and collect Artists’ qualitative feedback about new launches and promotional initiatives to determine needs for reactive launch support.

· Support with insight generation to guide strategic planning around innovation for promotions and sampling.

· Build toolkits for collections, collaborations, the Holiday programme, and promotions, presenting the vision to the brand and ensuring that the 360-launch support plan supports the forecast ambition. Post launch, lead the post campaign analysis to track and analyse success of each support lever to optimise future planning.

BASIC LINE

· Manage excess stock levels to drive budget efficiency, maintaining volume less than 5% of inventory by collaborating across teams to build usage plans.

PRICING

· Build pricing proposals for collections, collaborations, and the Holiday programme, ensuring that pricing is loaded into SAP 3-6 months ahead of on counter dates and align key stakeholders.

SAMPLING & PPM

· Support the Product Marketing Manager build the sampling strategy during budget season; analysing key results, insights, and feed back to forecast samples and build the cross-channel plan.

· Lead the roll out of the sampling strategy; leading the monthly samples alignment call to ensure all teams are aligned and on track with usage plans, within budget and avoiding the build-up of excess stock. Also work with third party suppliers for any mass digital sampling campaigns, aligning on budget, KPIs, mechanic, assets, roll out and reporting.

· Support the Product Marketing Assistant raise monthly events to ensure samples are distributed and delivered on time, and support with the production of any collateral as required.

· Produce gifting collateral to support key moments in the year and manage stock levels for evergreen collateral.

PROMOTIONS & KITS

· Support the Product Marketing Manager build the promotional strategy during budget season; analysing key results, insights, and feed back to build product, packaging, and P&L proposals to target customers during high traffic moments to drive consideration and incremental sales.

· Support the Product Marketing Assistant project manage promotions and locally created kits, managing relationships with suppliers and working on packaging from concept through to production and redress.

· Lead the roll out of the promotional strategy; sharing weekly updates with the brand and leading the weekly redress call to ensure that packing and incoming stock is on track.

· Support the Product Marketing Assistant track and analyse the success of each promotion and build performance re-caps to showcase the results and key learns.

ADMIN & BUDGET MANAGEMENT

Collateral, COGs and Sampling budget maintenance: all POs to be raised before activity commences & all spend to be aligned with budget / over and underspends agreed with the Product Marketing Manager (& Marketing Director).

PROJECTS / WORK YOU WILL BE PART OF

Developing packaging for exclusive retailer sets created locally

Leading the Holiday programme, one of our biggest campaigns of the year

Working across functions to build channel plans for our collections and collaborations which have historically been linked to Disney, fashion designers or influencers

Leading first-to-market digital mass sampling campaigns across some of our biggest launches of the year

Educate the team on M·A·C and competitor insights within the beauty market to allow the brand to be reactive and at the forefront of trends

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESFUL IN THIS ROLE:

Passionate about M·A·C, the beauty industry and consumer trends

Be highly organised, able to juggle multiple projects and work to tight deadlines

Be self-motivated, proactive/autonomous and keen to learn in a fast-paced environment

Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills

Be able to work well under pressure and able to meet given deadlines

Be able to demonstrate a strong attention to detail

Be able to demonstrate excellent computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel [Intermediate Level, highly numerical], PowerPoint [Intermediate/Advanced, high level of creativity])

Be reliable, committed, and willing to go above and beyond as and when the brand requires

Strong understanding of promotional strategy and activities will be ideal
