Amazon Executive Assistant, Enterprise Strategy Team in London, United Kingdom

The AWS Marketing team is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Executive Assistant to support directors from the Enterprise Strategy and Industry Marketing teams in the EMEA geography. Both teams operate globally with high profile customers to drive sustainable technological and organisational change.

Key job responsibilities

This exciting role requires attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines while prioritising and executing on tasks that have an impact across multiple teams, including customers. The ideal candidate will be an experienced planner and coordinator with the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently, while collaborating with other EAs. The individual in this role must understand business priorities, demonstrate the ability to proactively anticipate needs, drive improvements for a geographically dispersed team, and understand handling of confidential information and be trusted to maintain data privacy. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the whole picture. This role must be able to work successfully in a team environment and build effective working relationships inside and outside the group.

Key responsibilities include:

• Management of complex calendar and scheduling to support teams in multiple locations.

• Schedule cost effective travel itineraries which create smooth transitions between time zones. Coordinate with in-house travel agents and manage international travel process.

• Create and submit expense reports in a timely fashion.

• Managing engagement scheduling, tracking, and debriefs.

• Track and help drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on outstanding items.

• Collaborate across the Marketing EA team to ensure the effective prioritisation and completion of activities.

• Partner with leaders to understand their priorities and build processes to make their organizations happier and more effective.

• Help to create an environment that is positive and fun to work in.

• Learn and be curious about the organisation in order to improve effectiveness.

About the team

The Enterprise Strategy team’s mission is to help executives and leaders understand how cloud can change the way they deliver value to their customers, while helping influence large teams of people through the associated organisational and technological changes. Our goal is to help organisations become more agile and more customer-centric by sharing personal lessons learned, insights from the 1,600 customers a year we engage with, and by being thought partners to technology and non-technology executives. The team comprises of former CIOS, CTOs, CFOs, and CISOs from large commercial and public sector organisations. They are all former customers of AWS and have themselves led large scale transformations.

The AWS Industry Marketing (AIM) supports the account-based marketing, digital, content, campaign and event related marketing programs for 15 industries globally. We work with sales and support teams in dedicated industry business units to meet our customers where they are on their journey to the cloud and in particular drive awareness, perception, and consideration on how AWS can add value beyond enterprise IT in industry-specific workloads. We work with a global network of specialized industry partners to complement our own purpose-built services and industry solutions. The AIM team operates globally and is based in the US, Europe, and APJ (Japan).

Basic Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications

  • 5+ years of executive assistant experience

  • Experience with executive level calendar management

  • Experience with domestic or international travel coordination

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading process improvements

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

  • Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency
