The Work

Our most advanced radar systems are designed by our Integrated Warfare System and Solutions (IWSS) team and we are looking for highly talent individuals, like yourself, with a passion for RADAR and Electronic Warfare Technology. We provide surface, air and undersea solutions, including radar and surveillance systems, undersea combat systems, and surface combat systems and sensors.

The Senior Systems Engineer will have strong analytical and communication skills and will work well in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment and will be responsible for:

• Maintaining technologies for our development & tactical assets to enable top performance of our radar systems and development environment

• Supporting integration and test, evaluate test results, investigate discrepancies, provide technical assessment of anomalies, and drive issues to resolution

• Conducting system verification and support certification activities.

• Representing the organization on contracts and interface with internal and external customers, program and senior leadership, and multidisciplinary engineering teams on significant technical matters.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's level degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field with 5 years of related professional experience.

• Experience with deploying and managing/administrating RHEL7.x-RHEL8.x systems and networks.

• Occasional travel may be required.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance at the SECRET level.

Desired Skills:

• Design and development of radar systems, including familiarity of advanced radar signal processing techniques.

• Experience with gitlab, Atlassian toolset, Bash Scripting and Containers

• Performing trade studies, requirements analysis, development, derivation, allocation, and documentation,

• Engineering design and development, software development processes and Systems and software modeling.

• Design tools and environments for radar systems and subsystems for performance analysis.

• Computer architectures and algorithm development for a range of system/subsystem applications.

• Strong interpersonal skills with comfort working on geographically diverse teams.

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

• Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.

• Model Based System Design, Test Automation, and Agile development experience

• DevSecOps experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $94,500 - $178,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
