The first line manager of this team will be responsible for day to day management and successful attainment of all program cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives for assigned programs and tasks.

The Manager is responsible for personnel and resource management, project planning, scheduling, and execution of FPGA design engineering, firmware engineering, and digital engineering designs for electronic hardware and System Test Equipment (STE).

Program duties include providing adequate staffing and training/skill/knowledge base; addressing Engineering Program Management (EPM) staffing requests and performance adjustments; handling contract-related issues (program priorities, work schedules, tools, workload planning, workload balance, task monitoring, issue resolution, etc.); helping put together and executing recovery plans; reviewing Earned Value Management (EVM); dealing with out-of-scope requests; participating in key milestone event preparation (PDR, CDR, etc.); keeping the team, upper management, Chief Engineer org, and Program Management informed via Items-of-Information (IOIs), Monthly Program Reviews (MPRs), and Chief Engineer Reviews (CERs); assuring the Hardware Development process is followed; and completing cost estimates for new programs. Special assignments as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

- Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Management, or similar background.

- Experience with leading development teams.

- Control account management experience.

- Program financial measurements / cost management and reporting experience.

- Working knowledge of MS Office.

- Previous Project management experience.

- Product design experience.

Desired Skills:

- Experience with Electronic Warfare (EW).

-Experience with hardware product design.

-Experience with RF and digital card, module, board, and system design.

-Experience with FPGA development.

- Working knowledge of firmware design process and tools.

System integration and test experience.

- Understanding of all phases of the Hardware Development Process.

- Personnel management, problem resolution, and employee relations experience, including teammates and subcontractors.

- Demonstrated and recognized for Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors and skills.

- CAM Certification or LM PM Certified.

- Demonstrated ability, through work experience, to partner across organizations to achieve results.

- Demonstrated skills in oral & written communications, project coordination, integration, and advanced planning.

- High desire to provide customer satisfaction.

- Systems and software engineering experience.

- Working knowledge of IT processes, tools and technologies.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $109,500 - $209,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $125,900 - $237,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
