Join us and contribute to our financial success in a supportive and accommodating work environment!Job Summary:The Accounting Specialist responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, accurately maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper authorization and coding. Prepare and perform vendor payments via check runs or electronic transfers.Accounts Receivable: Assist in invoicing customers, recording receipts, and reconciling customer accounts, cash application of payments.Follow up on outstanding invoices and communicate effectively with customers regarding payment status.Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.Check Runs: Coordinate and execute check run as necessary, ensuring all payments are processed accurately and on time. Maintain appropriate documentation for all transactions.Costing: Utilize knowledge of manufacturing processes to accurately record and allocate costs associated with production activities. Collaborate with production and inventory teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.General Accounting Support: Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.Minimum Qualification Standards:Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related major.Minimum of two years of accounting experience. Experience in manufacturing desired.Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, and generating reports using standard software applications.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously.Some analytical ability to gather and summarize data, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, vendors and co-workers in a professional and helpful manner in person or via phone or written correspondence. Software Used:Computer Software: Microsoft Office and Job Boss.Safety Equipment: Safety glasses and safety shoes when on the manufacturing floor.Mental and Visual Demand:Close mental and visual attention to prepare and analyze data and figures, perform moderate to heavy administrative work using a computer, read and comprehend manuals and procedures. Requires some judgment to work independently toward general results based on precedent and/or established criteria.
