LTD Global Events & Fundraising Development Leader (Part-time) in Livermore, California

Job Summary
The organization seeks a dynamic and experienced Director of Development to lead our fundraising and development efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive development strategy to support our mission and expand our impact. This role requires a strategic thinker passionate about nonprofit work and a proven track record in fundraising, donor relations, and grant writing.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including individual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, and special events.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and community organizations.
Lead grant writing efforts, including researching funding opportunities, preparing proposals, and managing grant reporting requirements.
Oversee planning and execution of fundraising events, ensuring they align with the organization's mission and goals.
Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to identify fundraising priorities and set annual fundraising goals.
Develop and implement donor recognition and stewardship programs to enhance donor engagement and retention.
Manage the development budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with organizational goals.
Prepare regular reports on fundraising progress and donor engagement for the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
Stay informed about trends and best practices in nonprofit fundraising and development.
Represent the organization at community events and networking opportunities to increase visibility and build strategic partnerships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and development, with a proven track record of success.
Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, strategies, and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and presentations.
Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, corporate partners, and community organizations.
Experience in planning and executing successful fundraising events.
Proficiency in using donor management software and other relevant tools.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
