Dog Training Elite Denver HR Generalist/Benefits Coordinator in Littleton, Colorado

Seeking an HR Generalist/Benefits Coordinator role for growing dog training business

We are a rapidly growing, family-owned dog training franchise in the Denver metro area, in need of a HR/Benefits Coordinator.

We are looking for a hard-working individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is organized and can multitask well. Successful individual is someone who can prioritize work time independently, while also functioning collaboratively with a team of managers and owners. This is a full-time position working a 4-5 day work week.Required to work in an office in and around dogs.

Duties and Responsibilities include: - Provide expertise and advice on HR policies, handbooks, and implementation. - Serve as the benefits coordinator - medical/health, dental, vision, supplemental (AFLAC) - Mediate and address conflicts among staff. - Plan social events and gatherings for staff. - Bring staff concerns to managers/leaders in order to address collaboratively. - Recruit for open positions online and on occasion at job fairs or other recruiting means, including interfacing with workforce and other job centers. - Create and coordinate a training program for new staff. - Assist with performance evaluations. - Implement and maintain a recognition program for staff. - Build staff morale. - Support business goals and vision. - Coordinate and manage staff meetings. - Maintain personnel records and files - digital and hard copy. - Assist with payroll (we will have our current person maintain this for the foreseeable future). - Manage leaves and leave schedule, including tracking sick, vacation, and PTO time. - Be a supportive presence for staff. - Advise owners and managers on strategic implementation and visioning. - Provide recommendations on cost savings for HR. - Create systems and processes to maintain HR programming. - Create a physical and digital "hub" for sharing resources and staff feedback. - Other HR related duties and and responsibilities as requested and required. - Willingness to work in a family owned business/franchise and in a family owned environment (including around kids). - Love dogs. We are a dog training franchise. We would prefer you have or get a dog and have it trained with our approach. - Excellent phone and written communication skills. - Excellent organization skills and ability to multitask a must. - Responsible, hard working, ability to take initiative, ability to follow through on tasks as directed. - Good interpersonal and group communication a must. - Heart for community. - Inclusive spirit and willingness to work with diverse populations. - Will be required to sign confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements. - Lifting and bending required. - Background check will be required. - Cover letter required.

Preferred but not required: - Interested in growing and learning. We hope for someone who may have less than 2 years of HR experience and is excited to learn and grow. - Starts at $20/hour for full-time (neg.). Or $40-45k depending on experience as a salaried position. - 4-5 day work week with particular days negotiated. We are open 7 days/week. - Benefits include health, retirement, supplement insurance, training of dog. - Owning a dog and willingness to train with our methods. - Working hours are later morning until 7 pm weekdays. Possibly some weekends, but that would be arranged in advance. - Uniform will be required and starter set will be provided. Dress is casual.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required - HR certification preferred but not required - Driver's license and access to reliable transportation required. Access to fleet vehicles available. Workers's compensation provided.
