Summary

The Construction Administrator Lead manages and coordinates alongside of the project manager, the project during the construction process in order to ensure that the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, and systems contract document requirements are upheld by the contractor during the construction process. Specific responsibilities include

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:

• Performs site visits and project observation during the construction phase of a project, and issues project observation reports that include discrepancy between what has been installed and contract document, verifies contractor’s completion of issues, and coordinates and documents the resolution of outstanding issues.

• Coordinates with the design team to develop responses to requests for information and pricing proposals

• Documents and tracks meeting notes and action items from construction meetings.

• Conducts cost change reviews, closeout document reviews, and, ensures that billing issues are resolved and all project closeout actions are completed.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED Equivalent

• Must have 10 years of construction administration, construction project management, or construction hands on installation experience in one of the following trades: Mechanical

• Foreman, Electrical Foreman, Plumbing Foreman, HVAC Controls Foreman, or Structural Foreman.

• Project Management Experience

• Must be proficient at Word and Excel

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment.

• Well versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors.

• Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• B.S in Construction Management or related degree

• Journeyman electrician

• Licenses in one of the following trade, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC controls

Travel Requirements

• 50%-75% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles Climbing stairs.

Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces

Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers Operating machinery and/or power tools

Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind Noisy environment

Physical Demands

Medium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds
