The Environmental Test Lab Technician is responsible for supporting the Environmental Test Lab Engineer/Manager by accurate and timely completion of general tasks, as listed below, and for fulfilling detailed assignments, which align with Sechan's company goals.

Position Responsibilities: •  Program and operate specialized control and data acquisition equipment within the environmental test lab, and any supporting labs •  Conduct routine standard chamber and vibration equipment problem troubleshooting •  Perform internal PM on various environmental test lab equipment •  Coordinate, setup, and conduct environmental testing for support of ESS and qualification requirements •  Set up and perform thermal and vibration surveys •  Perform calibration requirements for environmental test lab assets •  Perform technical writing for support of test procedures and test reports •  Revise and update standard operating procedures •  Assist in coordinating testing of samples with outside laboratories. •  Provide support in the development and implementation of facility upgrades. •  Escort and work closely with subcontractors and customers •  Develop personal technical knowledge and advanced skills, through specialized classes offered within the reliability testing industry •  Support other duties on an as-needed basis, which may include overtime, weekend and off-shift coverage, sometimes on short notice, as needed •  Perform other duties as assigned to support business goals and objectives.

Skills & Abilities: •  Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and organizational abilities •  Strong computer skills including near expert skills in most of the Microsoft Office Business Suite

Qualifications: •  2-Year technical degree or equivalent •  Experience with Military and International Quality System rules, regulations, standards, including planning and implementation •  DOD experience is a plus but not necessarily required

Work Environment: •  Office Environment:  Requires physical capability to work in an office environment including sit/stand up to 9 hours a day and use basic office tools such as a computer, copier/printer, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. •  Hours 6:00 -- 3:30, Monday through Thursday; Friday 6:00-2:30; occasional additional hours as needed •  9/80 work schedule. •  Office located in Lititz, PA, with occasional visits to Lancaster facility.
