Warehouse Supervisor

For our warehouse based in Barcelona, we are looking for a supervisor, who will manage the related team and activities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a staff of warehouse employees on a daily basis based on workload (start with 2 fte).

• Leadership, development, induction, training and evaluation of subordinates.

• Implementation of staff capacity planning for subordinate area ensuring high productivity.

• Control of outgoing goods in terms of priority and efficiency in cooperation with the interface departments

• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identification, shipping and quality assurance of goods.

• Implement and ensure the execution of our internal quality controls as well as compliance with the requirements for handling dangerous goods in all modes of transport.

• Meet warehouse operational standards by providing warehouse input to strategic plans and reviews; enforcing production, productivity, quality and customer service standards; resolving problems; identifying improvements to the warehouse system.

• Identify areas for improvement and establish innovative procedures and work practices or adjust existing ones.

• Responsible for the achievement of agreed key performance indicators (quality, productivity, timeliness).

• Accomplish warehouse human resources objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees.

• Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, evaluate job contributions; recommend compensation measures; comply with policies and procedures.

• Ensure accuracy of shipments and inventory transactions.

• Interact with internal customers to answer questions or resolve problems.

• Follow safety procedures, report hazardous situations, incidents and accidents; contribute to making safety our priority.

• Follow QMS procedures, always contribute to quality, proactively and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Good/broad knowledge in a logistics environment.

• 3 - 5 years experience in a similar position

• Team player

• Ability to train, coach and lead your team.

• Reliability and flexibility, as well as high load capacity

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in logistics or relevant training

• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in English
