Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility, Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst in Operations for the Customer Service (CS)Business Unit. As a Financial Analyst you will support operational transparency, accurate financial statements, business planning and performance management. This role will focus on ensuring the quality of CS’s financial operations and meeting internal customer’s expectation, while applying digital skills and operational improvement techniques to automate and streamline tasks. By automating processes and providing clear financial insights, the role supports strategic decision making and contributes to the overall financial performance of the organization.

Some of the key aspects for success in this role are autonomy, being an agent for change, standardization, and ownership. This exciting and challenging position can be based in Sacramento, CA, Lexington, NC or in close proximity to a US Mobility facility. This position will report directly to the Operations Finance Manager.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Preparation and consolidation of Operations financial results and forecast submissions including P&L, productivity, inventory, CAPEX, scrap, logistics & material adder analysis

• Validation that monthly financials are accurate prior to closing in the system

• Cost Accounting analysis and Cost Center Controlling

• Provide transparency on all costs

• Analysis of balance sheet data and forecasting of key positions

• Drive implementation of digital solutions for the operations

• Perform account reconciliation for accounts in scope and participate in quarterly audit activities

• Maintain and perform key controls in scope of closing and reconciliation activities and perform historical and/or trend analysis on key business components

• Act as an advisor that troubleshoots and resolves complex problems within multi-departments and/or cross-functional areas

• Work with the team on productivity reporting, facilitates estimates for pipeline ideas, review project calculations for accuracy, and update financial and status information in the reporting system.

• Identify, log and communicate areas of opportunity and risk with underlying factors and risk mitigation.

• Preparation and submission of monthly actual and forecast data SMO Division.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business-related subject area.

  • Experience in Variance Analysis, Financial Reporting and Forecasting.

  • Good proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., V-lookups, Pivot tables etc.).

  • Good understanding of Microsoft products (Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint).

  • High degree of critical thinking and very detail oriented.

  • Well demonstrated communication skills, in particular in an operational setting.

  • Ability to transition from non-digital to digital solutions.

  • Self-motivated individual who requires and prefers little guidance from manager.

  • Setting you apart from others would be SAP experience at an intermediate level along with knowledge in digital tools like Tableau, Knime, and Snowflake.Certifications in Agile methods is a plus

The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $98,300-$132,700 and in Lexington, NC is $89,300-$120,900 and in New York, NY is $107,300-$144,800. The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
