Actalent Manufacturing Engineer in Lexington, Kentucky

Description:

Reduce costs, increase productivity, reduce scrap/re-work, and provide resources to train and problem solve.

Support Shop Floor and Indirect areas by providing proper documentation, tools and training

Lead Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing Processes

Develop methods, standards, line balances and line layouts.

Support New Product Introductions

Analyze, develop, layout, procure and install, equipment and tools for implementing products.

Determine costs, manufacturability of changes and specials. Expeditiously process and document methods.

Work with Manufacturing and QA to start up, debug and verify processes.

Use continuous improvement tools such as APQP to lead teams.

Research and Development of new manufacturing processes, tooling and machinery

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

BS Engineering- Preferred, Associates in Technical Field Required

5+ years manufacturing experience

Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical/ electronic componentry

CAD/CAM software experience

Quality Assurance fundamentals

Systems knowledge (AS400, NOMS,CORE, EDM), preferred
