Job Title: Contract Administration Manager

Aston Carter is working with a great company in the Kansas City metro area that is hiring for a Contract Administration Manager to join their corporate legal department. They are seeking candidates with 6-10+ years in construction contract administration, evaluation, or management. Job Description:

• Identify, analyze, and summarize contract risk points as they relate to a wide variety of scopes of work.

• Conduct complex contract negotiations with third-party customers.

• Oversee the processing of contract documents to ensure that operations understand and authorize contract terms.

• Initiate and oversee special projects in furtherance of operational collaboration and education.

• Serve as the principal contract liaison between operations, corporate departments, and outside customers.

• Plan, develop, and conduct presentations for training purposes on a variety of topics; both remotely and in-person at branch locations.

• Supervise the work of others and mentor subordinate members of the department in accordance with their developmental aspirations and goals.

• Develop and track key metrics to improve performance outcomes for the department.

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years experience in contract administration within the construction industry required OR 10+ years experience required if coming from manufacturing or engineering industry

  • Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business, law, or a related field, or comparable work experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a position of leadership with direct reports

  • Experience leading contract admin teams of 4+ people

  • Ability to travel 20% of the time annually

  • Review, revision, and negotiation of contracts for complex scope and/or high-dollar contracts

  • Experience utilizing AI to streamline processes preferred

Job Type:

This is a permanent position.

Work Environment:

20% annual travel to other offices in the U.S. to help train the contracts teams in their different locations.
