Argonne National Laboratory Analyst, Sponsored Research and Contract Administration in Lemont, Illinois

We invite you to apply for an Administrative Analyst role with the Sponsored Research Office (SRO) of our Science and Technology Partnerships and Outreach organization. In this role you will review and analyze Strategic Partnership Project (SPP) research proposals, Cost-shared Research Development (CRADA) proposals, and a variety of Grant, BAA and funding opportunity applications. You will review and report on all federal funding agreements and be accountable for all activities associated with the analysis of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for SPPs and CRADAs and other proposal and funding types as needed. You will participate in on-going cross-functional working groups and continuous process improvements. Position Requirements

  • Understanding of proposal development and federal contracting, budget, and appropriations process.

  • Skill in understanding and interpreting legal regulations and Department of Energy guidance.

  • Knowledge of DOE regulations, Strategic Partnership Projects (SPP), Funding Opportunities (i.e. Grants) and Cooperative Research and Development (CRADA).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with researchers, management, and internal/external staff in multiple levels.

  • Analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail with the ability to interpret and prepare accurate documentation.

  • Organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple-concurrent tasks.

  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with business intelligence databases.

  • Good understanding of project management methodology including financial reporting.

  • Ability to model Argonne's core values of impact, respect, safety, integrity, and teamwork.

  • PA2: Minimum qualifications of a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent.
