The Sales Application Engineer will provide customer’s technical support. This support includes responding to customer issues, performing retrofit solutions for customers, and working with the customer service team. In order to design and re-design effective applications and electrical design, successful candidate acquires, and analyses customer needs and problems, making recommendations to the engineering team to satisfy those needs and develop solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Propose Eaton products to the customers solutions/projects and present the choice/solution.

  • Explore, understand and follow our offer, the market and the customers.

  • Build up a professional and proactive relationship with customers and other business partners.

  • Make proposals and offers based on quantities and prices/discounts.

  • Customer technical support on proposed solutions

  • Maintain commercial relation with customer key channel partners.

  • Provide feedback and training to Eaton's engineering teams and customers on application specifications.

  • Review and propose solutions based on advanced technical documentation for projects.

  • Align product offerings and functionalities with consumer trends and market needs.

  • Conduct technical training sessions for internal and external audiences.

  • Support daily technical enquiries and collaborate with international engineering teams.

  • Maintain close relations with customers engineers and provide timely technical support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor University Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, preferably business related, or equivalent gained through experience

  • 3 years Experience in application engineering in a sales environment, involving electrical power design.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Control panel design, Low-Voltage components, and systems

  • knowledge of hardware application development, installation, and maintenance, preferably in the realm of power management

  • Exceptional ability to drive application innovation by analyzing consumer and competitor trends.

  • Advanced ability to read electrical diagrams and specifications

  • Proficiency in providing clients with technical product and services support.

  • Self-starter and you don’t give up.

  • Experience with targeting technical decision makers

  • Proactive approach, aim for the maximum possible outcome and not only what has been agreed

  • Excellent interpersonal & networking skills

  • Demonstrable Planning, Time Management and Prioritization skills

  • IT literate with good working knowledge of CRM systems & Microsoft office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
