Job Summary

Bohannan Huston is currently seeking a full-time entry level Civil Engineering Drafter/Designer to join our Engineering Group in our Las Cruces, NM office.

As an entry level Civil Engineering Drafter/Designer, you will work closely with our design engineering teams on various building and infrastructure projects, utilizing your skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Your responsibilities will include supporting design engineers in producing construction plans for roadways, water and wastewater utility infrastructure, utility infrastructure for natural gas or electric, site development, and vertical building construction. Additionally, you will assist in calculating project material quantities for cost estimation and engage in field work for site data acquisition and finished project as-built verification.

WHO YOU ARE

• You have graduated with a high school diploma or Equivalent coupled with either technical school training or 2-year Associates degree.
• You are a self-starter with basic guidance from design engineers on construction plan production.
• You're familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and have a basic understanding of its applications.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• You are determined, organized, and detail oriented.
• You are customer focused.
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to learn and grow.
• You welcome feedback and find ways to do your work better.
• You are eager to make your work more efficient by learning and mastering various engineering technologies.
