We are looking for a Human Resource Generalist with strong organization, time management, computer, written and verbal along with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The HR Generalist partners with business leaders in the Gulf region in addressing employee relations issues, developing and implementing training programs, assessing compensation, and providing administrative HR support. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Director and is responsible for the following:

  • Ensures compliance to all company policies, local, state and government regulations, and advised management on method for compliance.

  • Answers employees’ questions relating to policies and procedures and refer them to specialist as needed.

  • Support management in addressing employee relations needs, including conducting investigations and recommending corrective action.

  • Supports benefits and payroll in coordinating leaves of absences in accordance with company policy, and FMLA. Prepares notices to employees regarding their leave status.

  • Partners with management team in developing, implementing and facilitating team member orientation programs to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

  • Assists HR team with performance management process (PMP), salary planning process and preparation of job descriptions as needed. May conduct analysis of local labor market to determine appropriate pay levels according to compensation guidelines and policy formulated by HQ Operations Support.

  • Completes employee personnel changes, and conducts exit interviews.

  • Utilize HRIS and payroll systems to respond to management reporting requirements.

  • Integrates BrandSafway’s safety culture into Human Resource practices and will also support the mitigation of worker compensation claim expense.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years direct experience in HR with strong employee relations experience

  • Good working knowledge of State/Federal employment laws

  • HRCI Certified Professional (PHR), Senior Professional (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred

  • Experience with Workday
