Financial Analyst 9-P11

The Fiscal Analyst will serve as a Fiscal Monitor for the Division of Victim Services. The position is responsible to provide financial oversight and monitoring of contracts administered by the Division. The primary day to day tasks involves leading efforts of reconciling, creating, and generating reports, identifying process issues, ensuring financial compliance, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and conveying financial information with clarity to coworkers, management and external customers. This position monitors revenue, expenditures, and fund balance associated with grants.

Financial Analyst 12

This position is the recognized resource in the Division of Victim Services for the coordination, preparation, compilation, research, analysis and monitoring of the Division’s more than $120 million budget. This position is responsible for developing summary level and detailed budget documents, expenditure documents by grant and sub-recipient; budget

monitoring documents and provide guidance on grant spending for projects. This position will forecast expenditures by month by sub-recipient to ensure the Division can communicate proactively with sub-recipients to ensure that federal and state funding is fully and appropriately expended. This position will work closely with the Division Director, Division Manager, contracts analysts, departmental analysts, and staff responsible for processing monthly billings to provide a holistic view of the financial health of the Division. This position will be the lead for any updates, submission, training, or coordination with Egrams or SIGMA and will be responsible for pulling data from Egrams, SIGMA, Business Objects / Intelligence, and any other state systems necessary to gather state financial data.

Required Education and Experience

Education

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major with at least 24 semester (36 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: accounting, finance, or economics.

Experience

Financial Analyst 9

One year of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst 9, Accountant 9, or Auditor 9.

Financial Analyst P11

Two years of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Financial Analyst 10, Accountant 10, or Auditor 10.

Financial Analyst 12

Three years of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Financial Analyst P11, Accountant P11, or Auditor P11.
