System One Rail Services Warehouse and Procurement Supervisor in Landover Hills, Maryland

OVERVIEW:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing purchasing and logistic services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations. Additionally, this position will control warehouse inventory by coordinating movement of product from production to warehouse to shipping.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:
Picks-up product by monitoring production; loading and moving product
Stores product by designating storage areas; adjusting storage areas according to production and shipping requirements; updating location database
Prepares product for shipment by verifying location; directing movement to staging area; resolving problems
Managing and tracking of NCR material with suppliers including export and import.
Manage importing and exporting shipment custom clearance and coordinate importing freight management
Verifies product inventory reports by comparing logs and reports; adjusting entries
Create and keep track of all needed purchase orders
Requisition, Purchase Order and Invoice matching ensuring that CAF purchasing and supply protocols are kept
Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records; maintaining databases
Monitors inventory by completing counts as required
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Maintain records/record systems using CAF RS Maintenance Management System
Provide administrative support to ensure that municipal operations are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.

TRAINING/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School Diploma / GED 2-4 year degree in Accounting/Logistic or equivelent experience preferred
Experienced in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, is a must
Ability to understand Technical Documentation will be valued: drawings for example

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work in a workshop, high pressure environment
Must be self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills essential for day to day operations
Must meet commitments and track daily tasks
Ability to work effectively within a team is a must
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Understanding oral and written Spanish highly desirable
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Shall report all injuries/illnesses to their supervisor that occur at work, the day of the incident
Shall report any unsafe conditions that are identified in their respective work area to their supervisor
Shall comply with all CLIENT safety policies, procedures, and requirements that are communicated to them, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures
Shall wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is communicated and supplied to them
Shall keep their respective work area clean and orderly at all times
Shall attend all CLIENT required training as soon as possible before the start of their assigned work
Shall NOT operate any CLIENT equipment (forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts) until certified to do so
