JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Extension in Lancaster County seeks to hire a Part-Time Extension Support position to serve as a LIFT Program Instructor. Instructors lead morning face to face classes for 2 hours twice a week for eight to nine weeks, a few times a year. This position will report to the Lancaster County Food, Families, and Health Extension Educator.
Specific responsibilities include:
Lead participants in a 5-minute exercise warm-up.
Lead participants in 60-minutes of strength training exercises.
Lead a 5-minute cool-down.
Energize and motivate participants throughout the class.
Instruct short nutrition and health related lessons
Demonstrate proper form and ensure participants are using correct form, offering corrections if needed.
Conduct pre and post physical assessments and administer evaluations.
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
