Harrison Western Construction Construction Project Manager in Lakewood, Colorado

We are looking for an experienced construction Project Manager to join our team. Project Managers lead the project team through all phases of the project from acquisition through pre-construction, execution, and close-out. They are typically assigned one or two projects at a time and are responsible for the financial management of the project, including subcontracts, job costing, change orders, and pay applications. Project Managers work closely with the Project Engineer and with the Superintendent on schedule, subcontractor performance, quality control, coordination, safety, and inspectio

Key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Provide leadership throughout a project to ensure timely and quality results

with responsibilities of safety and cost performance - Overall responsibility of P/L for assigned projects - Mentor and train project team - Ability to follow established processes and suggest new processes to improve

overall key performance. - Lead project estimate review and hand-off, start-up, monthly interim, and close-out meetings - Facilitate collaborative team processes among project participants including architects, owners, and subcontractors - Review project plans for constructability and cost feasibility; assist with project risk assessments and prepare scope of work matrices. - Review/prepare submittals as needed in a timely fashion - Analyze and manage project progress, costs, budgets, and cash flows

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mine Engineering or Civil Engineering
  • At least 5 years of related experience running construction projects
  • Proficiency with scheduling using Microsoft project or primavera, spreadsheets (Excel, Word), cost control, and project management software
  • Experience with Bid to Win (B2W) software preferred
  • Solid understanding of value engineering, life cycle costing, and project profit/cost processes
  • Ability to travel to project work sites
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Experience in driving accountability for financial and operational effectiveness, integrating and aligning efforts within teams, monitoring. results, and tackling problems directly.
  • Ability to work within a complex business as an active participant in driving safety, quality, schedule and cost performance, demonstrated effectiveness in driving operations and executing plans.
  • Developed written, oral, and listening skills in order to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints
  • Ability to travel extensively to jobsites throughout the United States
