Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be the sole maintenance technician, responsible for the repair and upkeep of all equipment within the facility. This includes managing the maintenance crib, ensuring it is up-to-date with necessary parts, and ordering equipment from parts suppliers. The role involves working mostly on small machines such as dust collectors, baggers, and vacuum sealers, addressing mostly mechanical issues resulting from operator error. Additionally, the mechanic will handle troubleshooting and repairs on hydraulic issues, conveyor maintenance, and maintenance of forklifts and front-end loaders. A key responsibility will be conducting preventive maintenance to minimize the need for reactive maintenance.

This is a fully on-site position in La Porte, Indiana.

Work Environment

The work environment is a dusty setting, with potential outdoor work. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
