Job Title: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) serves as the process owner of all assurance activities related to the availability, integrity and confidentiality of customer, business partner, employee and business information in compliance with the organization's information security policies. A key element of the CISO's role is working with executive management to determine acceptable levels of risk for the organization and ensure the organization’s security posture is aligned with business objectives. The CISO will work closely with other company senior leadership to ensure the organization's security program is effective and efficient.

Primary Duties:

  • Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.

  • Develop policies and procedures to protect enterprise communications, systems, and assets from internal and external threats.

  • Facilitate a metrics and reporting framework to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the program, facilitate appropriate resource allocation, increase the maturity of the information security, and review it with stakeholders.

  • Ensure technology solutions adhere to appropriate security practices and meet security requirements, including Software-as-a Service (SaaS) contracts, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) contracts, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) contracts, and customized software development solutions.

  • Perform incident response planning, including developing, maintaining, and enforcing the incident response plan in addition to managing security incidents if/when they occur. This will include coordinating incidents, if applicable, with associated third-party providers and, if applicable, multiple regulatory organizations and stakeholders.

  • Ensure the company is in regulatory compliance with the rules of relevant bodies.

  • Coordinate, provide leadership and management for security related audits and inspections.

  • Work with company departments/divisions to align security initiatives with business goals.

  • Brief leadership on the security risk posture of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional security management certification.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a combination of risk management, information security and IT jobs.

  • Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as NIST.

Desired Skills:

  • Microsoft 365 Security Administration

  • Experienced in the Intelligence Community or Military environment

Educational Requirements :

Master ofScience and 10 years experience in Cybersecurity or IT Management or Bachelors Degree with 15 years experience in Cybersecurity or IT Management

Security Clearance Requirements:

Top Secret / SCI Eligible

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, Standing, Walking, Grasping, Reaching, Near Acuity, Speaking, Listening, Sight, Use of Hands/Fingers

  • Travel 10%-15%
