Job Description

Intel Arc Retail GPU Test Engineer

  • Develops, modifies, and executes test plans to ensure the testability and manufacturability of Intel platforms.

  • Defines test equipment and test case requirements and writes test content, standards, and procedures to ensure high test coverage.

  • Drives development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures.

  • Analyzes test results to ensure correct functionality, drives root causes of failures, and recommends corrective action.

  • Applies emulation and platform level tools and techniques to ensure platform performance to specifications.

  • Modifies test infrastructure design to support automated builds and tests execution across different hardware platforms and operating systems.

  • Improves platform lifecycle by strengthening validation areas and streamlining requirements analysis and test creation processes.

  • Maintains documentation of test results and supports debugging and platform modification activities.

  • Collaborates with architecture, design, and verification teams to improve validation test content and ensures platform quality requirements and goals are met.

  • Monitors yield, failure, and retest issues during build and works with the factory to quickly resolve issues.

  • Responds to customer and client requests and events as they occur.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4-year engineering degree (Electrical/Computer/Software)

  • Experience scripting (Python, Bash, etc.)

  • Capable of understanding board level schematics and layout files

  • Good comprehension of PC components and system building, including chassis development.

  • Understanding of the SMT fault spectrum and how to cover it using structural and functional test.

  • Able to work collaboratively in a highly dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Board level debug experience with PCIE add-in cards, including interfaces such at Display Port, HDMI

  • Software development on test wrappers, C# development experience

  • Capable of completing design for test reviews, defining critical nets and aligning structural and functional test coverage from a net level.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
