Job Purpose and Impact

The Cocoa Junior Trader will help generate income and control risks for the Cocoa & Chocolate trading desk based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Key Accountabilities

• Help monitor the trading strategies and books for the Cocoa & Chocolate desk based on hedged positions. Qualified candidates may execute certain trades under supervision from senior team members.

• Assist the team to reconcile positions, routine or repetitive profit and loss estimates and other reports as needed on a daily basis.

• Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.

• Help implement sales strategies and preparation for customer presentations, as needed.

• Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Ideally 1-2 years of related working experience

• Passion in trading and willing to work late shift due to trading hours (up to 1am daily)
