Banquet Captain - Blackwolf Run

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Responsible for coordinating and servicing of all assigned group functions.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Train all banquet service staff to the standards set by Blackwolf Run/Whistling Straits.

  • Scheduling staff to meet the needs of each function.

  • Supervise the banquet service staff in the setup, service and breakdown of functions.

  • Responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of banquet supply items and all banquet equipment.

  • Provide accurate and timely billing according to bookkeeping procedures.

  • Informing Chef and Assistant Chef of group requirements.

  • Ensure good communication is maintained with golf staff concerning golf functions and restaurant functions.

  • Ensure good communication is maintained between TAC functions and Blackwolf Run functions.

  • Responsible for maintaining and updating banquet manual.

  • Supervise the banquet staff to ensure that all setup and breakdown procedures are completed properly in the time allocated.

  • Responsible for the personal appearance of the banquet staff.

  • Inform staff of the menu being served.

  • Supervise servers to ensure correct service policies and techniques are being followed

  • Perform inspections of the function area for cleanliness and table appearance. Take corrective measures when needed.

  • Provide quality service, food and drinks in a clean, friendly atmosphere while being aware of the guests’ needs.

  • Present the check to the functions contact at the conclusion of the evening.

  • Conducts shift and staff meetings.

We have a full-time and part-time opportunity available.

Skills/Requirements

  • High school diploma required.

  • Food Service experience required.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.
