Summary THIS IS An AIR NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD1367000 and is part of the TN 134th ARW, National Guard. This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 114 (Smoky Mountain Chapter) Responsibilities As an AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-8268-10 (TITLE 32), you will perform maintenance and operational and functional checks on assigned pneudraulic systems. Perform installation, modification, and/or repair of aircraft pneudraulic systems. Perform organizational and field level maintenance to include periodic, phase time, calendar, unscheduled, and special inspection. Prepare for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as ORI, IG and UE inspections, mobility, and command support exercises. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E-3 through E-6 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems, and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 18 months experience or training which provided a knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles. Experience in fabricating fuel, oil and vacuum hose lines; experience in servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems; experience in diagnosing malfunctions and overhauling pneudraulic accessories by disassembling, cleaning part and examining parts. Experience in diagnosing trouble and determining remedies. Experience in repairing, rebuilding and overhauling major systems of ground equipment and pneumatic and hydraulic systems; experience in mechanical repairs using hand tools and test equipment. Experience that demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications and publications.
