The Middlesex Corporation Skilled Laborer - Concrete in Kittery, Maine
Position Summary
A Skilled Laborer – Concrete is required to perform a variety of tasks including setting up platforms & access on drilled shafts, chipping & prep/pour concrete.
Responsibilities:
Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety first, in everything we do.
Setting up platforms on drilled shafts.
Setting up access into 8' diameter shafts, along with ladders, fall protection, and retrieval.
Chipping Concrete around internal rebar cages.
Removal of concrete using tuggers, etc.
Prep and pour concrete and grout.
Qualifications:
Must be able to work in confined spaces up to 50' depth
Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
Necessary Attributes:
Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles
Team player with good interpersonal skills
Reliance on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
Dedicated and hard working
Must have at least 3 years Heavy Civil Construction experience.
Required to perform tasks that include heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching.
Must be able to wear fall protection.
