Requisition Summary Manage the material implementation segment of Engineering Change Notices. Assure that processes requiring Plant/Division coordination for new product implementation and product changes are well defined and supported. Coordinate the material segment of these changes with the supplier, to establish a mutually agreed upon implementation date while minimizing surplus and obsolete inventory. Job Functions / Responsibilities Review Engineering Change Notices and assess for potential impact on operations. Identify issues and develop interdepartmental strategies for implementation of Engineering Change Notices. Track project implementation status including: plant and supplier inventory levels, PPAP status, tooling status, and other critical information. Direct the materials organization toward stated project implementation objectives. Analyze overall project impact to materials. Identify and communicate pertinent information regarding lead times, inventory costs and project financial risks to Change Control and Materials management. Work in partnership with Engineering and Division Materials, Corporate Quality, Corporate Purchasing, suppliers and the plants to ensure smooth project implementations. Qualifications & Skills 2-3 years of experience in materials or manufacturing support preferred. Self-motivated, organized, and flexible to a consistently changing and developing environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including: written, verbal, listening and presentation are required. Knowledge of statistics, supply chain management, distribution practices, EDI, inventory management, and production environments strongly desired. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in fast paced environment. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects. Negotiation skills, including conflict management. Mechanical aptitude including ability to read blueprints and communicate technical information clearly. Proficient with personal computers including; Excel, Access, and an understanding of the CMS-80 system. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
