JOB SUMMARY

The Master Scheduler will act as a mentor to other Production Controllers, providing guidance and best practices. The Master Scheduler represents the team in cross-functional projects, providing data on business trends and making recommendations to senior leadership. This role acts in an advisory role, providing guidance and recommendations to cross-functional departments throughout the company.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generates and distributes Shipment Disruption Tracker

  • Evaluates changes in forecast and demand to determine required stock levels

  • Creates standard work and updating ES documents for master scheduling processes

  • Provides historical and forecasted data to Program Managers in determining how best to support customers

  • Creates KPI metrics as required, training Production Controllers as needed

  • Populates and monitors master schedule, accepting orders, performing package sign off, providing stock value, running order report, generating charts, and providing lead times to production as requested

  • Executes master scheduling processes as mapped out, updating op log changes, and preparing executive summary for signature approval

  • Monitors work in progress to ensure production schedules are met, resolves problems, develop work-around schedules, and obtain the necessary resources

  • Leads cross-functional team members through a regularly scheduled, standardized, cadenced Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning (SIOP) process

  • Analyze SIOP elements to highlight potential gaps in company’s ability to perform to the business plan (sales gaps, labor gaps, capacity gaps, etc.

  • Works with program management, quality, and PCs to recommend creative solutions to execute containment plan

  • Recognize and interpret trends, customer purchasing patterns, customer cancellations, and inventory position, providing recommendations for senior leader operations decisions

  • Lead monthly SIOP discussions with Senior leadership

This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma

  • 12+ years of direct experience related to the essential functions of this job

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.

An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.

Base salary range for the Master Scheduler is $94,208 - $141,313 per year.

Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
