About This role:

The Product Marketing Manager position supports the Automated Logic go-to-market channel. As a Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the promotion of select products and developing positioning that differentiates our products in the market. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating the value proposition to the sales team and our distribution partners. You will work with marketing teams to develop the sales collateral to support the selling process of our products and provide the voice of the customer (VOC) to the Product Management team to help articulate needs and set priorities on behalf of the Automated Logic brand channel. You will plan the launch and release of new products, manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan, and conceive and develop innovative market-facing programs and documentation that our sales channel will utilize to drive market demand. You will demonstrate excellent presentation skills as well as a thorough technical understanding of building automation systems and control contracting. You should have a work history that demonstrates excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving aptitude. Extraordinary leadership capabilities, a high degree of personal integrity, interpersonal skills, and abilities are ideal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for prioritizing projects and identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance Product Management performance.

  • Oversee research and analytics to support and contribute to the development of marketing strategies.

  • Collects and analyzes macroeconomics, industry, and target market information to forecast market size.

  • Conducts competitive product and service analysis, and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience to develop product requirements and specifications.

  • Coordinates or participates in promotional activities or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market products or services.

  • Identifies, develops, and implements near-term and mid-term business strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies, services, follow-on products, and/or industries to ensure profitability and positioning in the market.

  • Initiates and prioritizes projects, tracks product/service development and develops product/service launch plans to effectively manage a product or service category's life cycle and ensure profitability.

  • Work across internal teams to support training, sales & technical requirements gathering, and priority-setting.

  • Provide counsel to sales teams and distribution partners in support of products & tools.

  • Participate in in-house factory initiatives as needed (i.e. quality improvement, CRM tool optimization, etc.)

  • Provide marketing and promotional content for supported product line(s)

  • Identify and promote standard methodologies across the sales teams.

  • Travel as required within the North America (10%)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 7 + years of experience in Building Management Systems

  • 3 + years of experience with product marketing or product management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.

  • Experience with Carrier and/or Automated Logic building management system

  • Experience estimating and designing control systems.

  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to develop constructive and collaborative working relationships across functional teams.

  • Up to date on new technologies and ability to apply new knowledge and techniques to the job.

  • Use and familiarity with MS Office – Outlook (power user), Excel (power user), PowerPoint (power user), Word, Visio, Photoshop, Salesforce.com platform.

  • Camtasia or other video recording/editing software experience.

  • Ability to handle several tasks at a time and deliver consistently.

  • Capable of working independently and comfortable making decisions

  • Substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs, or systems to make enhancements within job area.
