Amentum Test Conductor in Kennedy Space Center, Florida

JOB DESCRIPTION/POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under general supervision, perform duties to plan, execute, monitor and report BOSS readiness for launch processing to include support to tests/milestones and process-critical areas, working within the limits of established policy. Must complete OJT and pass test to obtain console certification to perform work. Perform work in other classifications when incidental but necessary to accomplish work assignments. Perform any work assigned to employees in this classification.

Performs duties in compliance with Federal, State, local, NASA and Air Force laws and regulations and requirements and KSC/CCAFS energy management conservation regulations, collective bargaining agreements, security, safety, hurricane and other specialized programs or contractual requirements relating to the business of the section, working within the limits of established policy.

REQUIRED SKILLS/SPECIAL TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS:

Review Kennedy Integrated Control Schedule (KICS) for shift activities relating to assigned KSC area. Identify and resolve oversights and conflicts. Schedule support for BOSS resources identified in KICS.

Represent BOSS at critical facility site meetings with customer and subcontractor representatives to ensure customer BOSS resources and services are ready to support processing operations.

Coordinate approval for BOSS system outages to ensure no impact to processing schedules.

Edit and submit changes for, processing procedures for CCAFS and KSC launches. Ensure BOSS resources and scope is properly identified. Ensure steps and directions are current and clear based on BOSS contractual obligations.

During KSC test operations and Launch, when assigned, operate the test console to coordinate BOSS resources as directed by NASA launch team.

During CCAFS Launch countdown, operate test console to coordinate BOSS resources as directed by 45SW launch team.

Participate in walkdowns of assigned areas and report discrepancies to management when priority or management intervention is necessary.

Plan support for ELV/EELV launches.

Conduct pre-launch briefings to ensure BOSS resources are ready.

Report management-approved readiness to customer with readiness statements for milestones and launches as directed by management.

Develop and maintain procedures and checklists to ensure consistent quality support to customers.

Must maintain security clearance, area permit(s), licenses, certifications, etc. required for performance of assigned tasks.

Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License.

Performs other related and/or associated duties as required.

This classification may include managing hazardous materials or other environmental responsibilities

EDUCATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE (Ref. Section C: Job Leveling):

High school diploma or equivalent with additional training from a vocational, community college, or accredited institution. Associate degree preferred. Five years experience in providing central coordination and multi-tasking. Must be knowledgeable of Test Conductor activities and operational requirements associated with KSC launch documentation and processes, and CCAFS launch support. Must have basic computer skills. Maximo familiarization preferred. Must possess excellent verbal and writing skills.
