Academy Sports + Outdoors Sr Specialist Customer Relationship Marketing in Katy, Texas

Responsible for coordinating CRM specific initiatives including: loyalty, acquisition, retention, and development strategies. Will work cross-functionally to provide best-in-class CRM campaigns.

Job Description:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related field.

Skills:

  • 3-5 years of CRM or digital marketing experience with a proven track record of developing and managing CRM programs. Background in retail or services a plus

  • Experience working with email and customer data platforms

  • Passion for CRM, Digital and user engagement

  • Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit

  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets

  • Understanding of marketing analytics (Google Analytics and Business Intelligence Tools)

  • Very strong critical thinking, analytical, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills

  • Must be agile with a student-first mentality and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

  • Creative problem-solving skills with focus on efficient execution while balancing big-picture thinking

  • Proactive & independent, always looking for ways to take initiative and improve existing programs/processes.

  • Must be an incredible collaborator as this teammate will work cross functionally with Category Marketing, Brand Marketing, Ecommerce, IT, Insights, Creative, and Media.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and execute marketing efforts for retention and acquisition programs, working cross-functionally with multiple teams (i.e., Digital Marketing, Brand, Creative, Category, and eCommerce)

  • Initiate and conduct in-depth CRM performance and user data analyses that will directly impact strategy and the program roadmap.

  • Articulate and present data analyses and learnings effectively to the team and to key stakeholders

  • Strategically deploy targeted offers that encourage high value actions, leading to greater LTV even beyond the first year.

  • Manage the budget forecast and phasing of spend through the year.

  • Complete recaps and reports, providing assessment, identifying opportunities, and initiating recommendations/solutions for both existing and developmental programs.

  • Lead vendor relationships along with CRM Manager connected to our CRM efforts

  • Maintain a strong consumer relationship by developing CRM activations that lead to incremental sales, increased retention, engagement, and loyalty.

  • Work with the CRM manager to develop and execute retention strategies and cross-channel consumer acquisition campaigns to meet CRM growth goals.

  • Manage, optimize, and execute testing calendar across CRM + Media tactics

  • Pilot programs while minimizing operational financial impact

  • Duties may change; team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned
