Summary of Role

GlobalFoundries Global Technology, Engineering, and Quality Group (TEQ) is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Anaplan Certified Model Builder (Principal Analyst Business Performance) who will be responsible for providing architectural guidance and establishing best practices in relation to Anaplan focusing on model building supporting the financial transformation and commercial planning processes in GlobalFoundries. The position will define, build and drive implementation as well as maintain digital business models across multiple areas of the corporation. In addition, this role is responsible for the introduction of Anaplan solutions and business models to stakeholders as well as for the training of end users in GlobalFoundries.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing and expanding Anaplan across the organization

  • Leverage business process knowledge and expertise in Anaplan area to drive business process improvements

  • Translate existing solutions, spreadsheets, and business problems into sophisticated Anaplan multi-dimensional models

  • Provide architectural guidance & best practices for the Anaplan platform

  • Define Methodology, Standards & Best practices, establish governance and end to end solution architecture across the Anaplan platform

  • Provide direction and leadership in promoting and implementing best practice solutions (business processes and application functionality)

  • Modify existing models as part of a connected solution, optimization, or to incorporate new functionality

  • Serve as the Anaplan SME for large-scale connected planning solutions

  • Participate and/or lead Data Integration and Migration Solutions

  • Participate and/or lead UAT testing and deployment

  • Be part of building a larger Anaplan team developing internal enablement programs

  • Provide technical instruction by actively mentoring team members through improvement of delivery of optimal solutions

  • Required Qualifications

  • 4-6 years or more experience of successfully implementing Anaplan solutions as Anaplan Model Builder on 3 or more Anaplan implementation projects

  • Proven knowledge of a formal system implementation methodology – requirements gathering, design, build/test and deploy (Anaplan agile methodology preferable)

  • Strong expertise and deep understanding of multi-dimensional modeling

  • Ability to translate current spreadsheet models to effective and efficient Anaplan model designs. Design ability to translate complex excel models into scalable (low sparsity) multi-dimensional Anaplan models

  • Expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis FP&A / Enterprise Performance Management EPM, Sales Performance Management, or Sales & Operations Planning S&OP / Integrated Business Planning IBP domains

  • Strong understanding of data/integration both inbound as well as outbound with various source systems (ERP, CRM, APS, etc.)

  • Experience with standard connectors like Boomi highly desired

  • Passion for business analytics, modeling, and planning

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Strong systems aptitude, able to identify opportunities to leverage technology as an efficiency enabler

  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management, and diverse audiences

  • Possesses strong influencing, coaching, communication, and facilitative skills

  • Proven project management skills including oversight of project teams, resource identification, budgets, scheduling and planning

  • Flexibility to travel as needed to worldwide GlobalFoundries facilities (<30%)

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • An advanced degree (BS, MSc, MEng, MBA) in Information Technology, Information Management, Business Administration / Finance, or Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical preferred)

  • BS with 4-6 years/MS with 2-5 years of experience

  • Working experience in a multi-cultural environment across different time zones
