Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $69,500.00 - $82,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

This position has the overall responsibility for all 3rd shift functions within the Wholesale Lockbox department. This includes human resource management, ensuring timely and accurate workflow, interfacing with other departments, assisting in the development of overall policy and producing departmental reports.

Essential Functions

  • Establish and monitor overall service level standards, increase efficiencies and maintain proper staffing to meet customer agreements while working closely with managers across different shifts, including first and weekend shifts

  • Lead, mentor and motivate team members to implement the department strategy and manage department workflow with guidance on departmental projects/issues, and provide coaching and development opportunities appropriate to each direct report's individual needs

  • Perform all necessary management functions, including hiring, evaluations, annual increase allocations and disciplinary action as required

  • Communicate decisions, priorities, and relevant information to team members effectively

  • Support budget management, planning and expenditure

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work Schedule:

  • Sunday - Thursday 10:30PM - 7:30AM on-site in downtown Kansas City, MO

  • All 3rd Shift employees receive a 15% shift differential

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Strong knowledge of the high-volume processing/production field, including knowledge of best practices

  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply discretion and sound judgement to solve problems efficiently and effectively

  • Ability to understand shift and department KPIs/SLAs and their drivers, to achieve successful results

  • Ability to drive results and balance management of organizational risk and meeting goals of the business

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate team members and foster a positive team environment that gives way to collaboration and unified goals

  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 6+ years experience in high volume processing/production work environment required

  • 3+ years management experience required

At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $69,500 to $82,000 annually.
