UMB Bank Business Banking Application Processor in Kansas City, Missouri

This role will manage workflow of business banking and small business loan applications received for underwriting from UMB sales associates in both commercial and consumer lines of business. This role is the point of contact for sales associates to assure a complete application and timely movement of workflow to underwriters, will have extensive interaction with Banking Center Managers/Financial Center Managers, Commercial Loan Officers, as well as Portfolio Specialists. Must carry out responsibilities with the professionalism, confidentiality, and courtesy. Specific responsibilities include:

Create finance request and uploads incoming loan applications and related loan documents to Capital Stream.

Review and assure applications have all information completed. For incomplete applications, communicate with applicable UMB sales associate to collect missing loan application checklist items. Once applications are complete forward to underwriting team.

Prepare and mail adverse action (denial) letters to customers on behalf of UMB sales associates within regulatory requirements.

Create and manage application, production, review, renewal or other reports using excel or other software.

Provide input regarding ideas for improving capital stream and other workflow efficiencies.

Answer/assist with calls from service center and route customer/prospect inquiries to appropriate area.

Monitor and manage work assignments flowing to the department group E Mailbox as assigned.

Provides administrative and project support to department (i.e. scheduling training classes, meetings, office supply management).

Other duties as assigned. 2+ years experience in banking or financial services industry Demonstrates advanced PC skills, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal skills with a strong team orientation

Demonstrates advanced time management skills to prioritize assignments

Demonstrates ability to work independently and solve conflicts/problems

Demonstrates ability to handle highly confidential information

Compensation Range:

Minimum: $33,920.00 - Maximum: $78,450.00

The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
