Bartlett Regional Hospital Chief Executive Officer in Juneau, Alaska

Bartlett Regional is announcing the recruitment for ourChief Executive Officer.

The CEO reports to the Bartlett Regional Hospital board of directors and works with the board to set the mission and vision of the organization.

Through exceptional communication the CEO will provide strategic leadership, organizational clarity, and oversight to ensure the hospitals overall success in delivering extraordinary healthcare services for our community and region.

The successful CEO will collaborate with the Board of Directors, executive leadership team and other stakeholders to strengthen and maintain the organizational culture and achieve improvements in hospital operations including deep expertise in the following aspects of hospital administration:

  • Financial Management
  • Strategy and Program Development
  • Community and Stakeholder Relations
  • Quality and Process Improvement
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Building and Maintaining a Cohesive Leadership Team

Principal Functions Delivery of high-quality patient care

  • Ensures that clinical services are coordinated across departments, staff, functions, and activities to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.
  • Implementation of clinical policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all hospital policies as well as City, State and Federal rules, regulations, and laws.

Organization Management

  • Inspires the trust of and maintains good relations with the Board, Medical Staff, and the entire Bartlett Hospital team.
  • Provides leadership and sets the standards for culture, behavior expectations, and excellence in op rations.
  • Ensures commitment to solid financial performance emphasizing operational efficiency.
  • Accountable for building and leading high-performing teams, ensuring all teams are aligned and collaborating to achieve desired organizational results.
  • Maintains accountability for the fiscal and operational integrity of the organization within direction set by the Board.
  • Reviews and takes appropriate corrective action on reports and recommendations of regulatory and inspection agencies to assure the hospital conforms with their requirements.
  • Provides the Board with resources necessary to carry out its oversight and policy-setting responsibilities.
  • Serves as the liaison and channel of communication between the Board and any of its committees and the Medical Staff and supports the Medical Staff with its organization and medical-administrative responsibilities.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of BRHs 340B drug pricing program and receives relevant 340B training from the Compliance Officer, at least annually.

Strategic Management

  • Maintains a five-year strategic plan for the hospital that includes elements to continually improve financial stability, maintain infrastructure and anticipate capital expenditures.
  • Prepares and plans for the achievement of the hospitals specific objectives and regularly reviews and evaluates that plan.
  • Develops referral relationships, including relationships with referring physicians.

Community Impact

  • Represents the hospital in our community and with other health care agencies through exceptional communication and public relations.
  • Maintains professional affiliations to enhance professional growth and remain current with the latest trends in hospital administration.
