We are looking for a talented TEST ENGINEER - SENIOR to join our specialized MANUFACTURING team for our CUMMINS facility in JUAREZ, CHIHUAHUA.

In this role, you will have an impact in the following ways:

  • Responsible for the test area (sensors and technical personnel in charge (Test Technicians and Test Equipment Technicians).

  • Responsible for the maintenance of functional test equipment (EOL) of engine injectors.

  • Corrective/preventive/predictive maintenance of test equipment, executes test equipment maintenance engineering work, including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications.

  • Scheduling, intervention and documentation of preventive, corrective EOL maintenance.

  • Diagnostic procedures.

  • Replacement parts list.

  • Repair procedures.

  • Documentation applicable to EOL.

  • Responsible for weekly downtime and report generation.

  • Responsible for overtime work plan and preventive maintenance supervision.

  • Responsible for equipment upgrade, configuration and transfer.

  • Results analysis and root cause failure detection, failure and defect analysis.

  • Management of improvement/efficiency projects.

  • Failure and defect analysis.

Qualifications

  • Handling of networks (Networking / basic).

  • Handling of measuring equipment; oscilloscope, multimeters, etc.

  • Basic PLC operation (intermediate or advanced desirable).

  • Installation, repair and configuration of new or transfer equipment from other plants or manufacturing sites.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc. (basic).

  • Demonstrate familiarity with data acquisition, analysis and data processing systems.

  • Good understanding of mechanical concepts (Basic).

  • Good understanding of electrical concepts (Intermediate).

  • Good command of statistical tools.

  • Handling of multiple tasks and work based on department metrics.

  • Corrective/preventive/predictive maintenance of test equipment, executes test equipment maintenance engineering work including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications, follows projected preventive maintenance plan and reports project status to leadership.

  • Knowledge in troubleshooting tools (5 whys, 8Ds), Ishikawa diagram.

  • English 70%.

  • Test Control Systems - Designs, operates and optimizes test control systems used to obtain quality results to make data-driven decisions to ensure the product meets customer quality requirements.

  • Problem Solving - Solves problems and may mentor others on effective problem solving by using a systematic analysis process by leveraging industry standard methodologies to create problem traceability and protect the customer; determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; identifies the systemic root causes and ensures actions to prevent problem reoccurrence are implemented.

Education, Licenses, Certifications: It is mandatory to have a university degree or equivalent in Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or related field. Experience: Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
