VF outdoor HR Specialist - Seasonal in Jonestown, Pennsylvania

This is a seasonal opportunity until end of 2024 - Schedule is primarily day shift

This position is responsible for performing administrative duties relating to employee functions and programs including in the areas of employment recruitment, workers compensation, benefits administration, classification and compensation, employee relations, liability claims and payroll; provides information and assistance to employees regarding human resources activities, processes, policies, and procedures; prepares various correspondence and memoranda; coordinates activities related to area of assignment; and performs a variety of tasks requiring specialized knowledge related to area of assignment.

*Human Resource Specialist: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family *  

As the Human Resources Specialist, you are responsible for providing support to the Human Resources Department at the East Coast Distribution Center through communication, administration and implementation of HR procedures and policies.  You are bi-lingual (Spanish/English), driven and looking to grow your career in a related Human Resources field. You are motivated to shape positive employee experience through culture, events and deliver positivity to all temporary and full-time workers in the Distribution Center. You will play a key and critical role with maintaining and shaping positive associate engagement and support for employee relations and as trusted thought partner. This opportunity is amazing way for you to grow foundational human resources skills in various ways (payroll, recruiting, employee relations, culture). 

*How You Will Make a Difference: *  

  • Ensures that all Personnel transactions are processed timely and accurately, including:  Hires, promotions, transfers, etc. 
  • Responds to employee inquiries regarding time off, payroll and general HR based questions. 
  • Provides Recruiting Support by processing hires/conversions systematically in Workday, ensuring the completion of new hire paperwork and facilitating onboarding sessions. 
  • Acts as liaison between the Distribution Center and the HR/Payroll Department, ensuring consistent and timely communication.
  • Coordinates employee events and activities focused on driving associate engagement 
  • Receives and creates new hire access requests in the VSEC system.
  • Review employee time cards and take part in the payroll process 
  • Generates weekly, monthly, annual and ad-hoc personnel reports 

*Skills for Success: *  

  • Years of Related Professional Experience: 1-3 years total 

Educational/ Position Requirements: 

  • Prior experience in Human Resources is preferred or a degree in a related field
