Assistant Coordinator of Nursing Quality and Safety, UHS Wilson Medical Center United Health Services is seeking a Assistant Coordinator of Nursing Quality and Safety to join our WMC Nursing Admin department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

Overview
This role is specific to Peri-Op Services. The ideal candidate will have experiene with Peri-Op services and-or experience with the OR, PACU, or the Preop Phase.
The Assistant Coordinator of Nursing Quality and Safety employs strategies and interventions to help various patient populations decrease their risk never-events or hospital acquired sequala, implement best practice interventions, and evaluate efficacy of current quality improvement initiatives. The assistant coordinator works collaboratively with Nursing Leadership including the Vice President of Nursing, Directors of Nursing and Nurse Managers. Reports to the Coordinator of Nursing Safety and Quality and collaborates with Quality Management. The Coordinator analyzes data, identifies opportunities for improvement, and provides educational feedback utilizing various models to drive improvement. The coordinator will assist in evidence-based practice improvements and work towards sustainability of new initiatives.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Three (3) years of experience in a hospital setting to include background in clinical operations and quality improvement.
Experience in data analysis and process improvement
Preffered:
Lean Expert
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
Current New York State license as a Registered Nurse
CPR within 3 months of hire
Preferred:
Professional certification in a related specialty
