JPMorgan Chase Director of Software Engineering - Client Data and Reporting Platform in Jersey City, New Jersey

As a Senior Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset Management line of business, you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery. In this role you will be leading a team to design and build the next generation of Asset Management's Client Reporting Data Platform.

Job responsibilities

  • Leads technology and process implementations to build out a data platform that will serve the needs of Asset Management's Client and Fund Reporting

  • Drive refinement of the data platform's architecture and contribute to defining the product roadmap and vision for Client Reporting

  • Oversees decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures

  • Carries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations

  • Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains

  • Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams

  • Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise

  • Strong experience in designing and implementing data architectures and platforms including ingestion, storage and distribution of data

  • Strong experience in data modelling and data lake concepts

  • Hands-on experience with data storage technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake, relational databases, or equivalent

  • Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists

  • Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent

  • Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager

  • Practical cloud native experience

  • Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence or reporting products such as Qlik, Tableau, Jasper, Crystal, etc

Base Pay/Salary

Jersey City,NJ $194,750.00 - $285,000.00 / year
