Job Summary:Hudson Milestones is searching for a reliable and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) of Residential Services to work with and support adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. This position requires a compassionate direct care professional as you will be assisting adults with day-to-day living, client care, safety, and other tasks that will help strengthen life skills. If so, we would love to interview you!Work Location: Hudson County areaResponsibilities:•Assisting clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, assistance with bathroom use, teeth brushing, etc.•Daily log upkeep/documentation.•Housekeeping: laundry, cleaning, sanitizing, etc.•Providing companionship to clients.•Van driving for errands, appointments, or social events.•Administration of client medications.•Client safety and support.•Incident documentation and follow up.•Assisting with food shopping and meal preparation.•Attending medical appointments and advocating on behalf of the client.•Safety and upkeep of residential group home properties.Skills/Education:•Highschool diploma or equivalent.•Strong computer skills in Microsoft word and Excel.•Professional disposition.•CPR Certification a plus.Requirements:•Valid New Jersey Driver’s License.•Twenty-one years of age or older.•Negative i3 Screen (drug test).•Pre-placement physical and fingerprinting. •Online training via the College of Direct Support (provided by Hudson Milestones).•Must be willing to work throughout the Hudson County Area.•Experience and flexibility a must as hours vary for the needs of the Program.We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
