Compensation: $9.00/hour + tips
Notice of training period: For the initial 3 weeks of employment, while the restaurant is not fully operational, all employees will be compensated at $15.00/hour as they will be performing non-tipped work. Upon the opening of the restaurant, employees will be compensated for their tipped role, with all non-tipped work being compensated at the state’s minimum wage.
About us: The Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island is opening a new restaurant that is set to redefine dining on the island. Our coastal open-air restaurant will showcase regional seafood and ingredients, providing a unique dining experience for our guests. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that will make a mark on the island’s restaurant scene.
Job Description:
The first 3 weeks will focus on training, obtaining ServeSafe Food Handler and TIPs certifications, and getting oriented into our company culture/operating guidelines.
Upon restaurant opening, responsibilities include but are not limited to
o Pre-setting the restaurant
o Serving meal courses
o Receive and process payment through POS terminal
o Maintaining side work stations
o Clearing tables, and storing equipment in its proper place at the end of each shift
o Must be able to handle guests requests courteously and work a flexible schedule with professionalism and respect
o You are the key member making a mark on our guest experience by making them feel welcomed, comfortable and attended to
