Job Summary:

Senior-level information security supports SSM health organizations, safeguarding digital assets and ensuring information confidentiality, integrity, and availability. This senior-level position involves being a subject matter expert in at least one security domain such as but not limited to incident response, security operations, threat and vulnerability management, governance, risk, and compliance, or identity and access management

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports SSM Health business through information security efforts.

  • Assists in leading specific efforts or small projects to improve the information security at SSM, in at least one security domain such as governance, risk, compliance, cybersecurity technical controls, incident response, threat and vulnerability, security awareness, identity, access, business continuity, and disaster recovery.

  • Designs, develops, and implements security procedures safeguarding systems and data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

  • Develops and communicates written documentation, meeting summary, technical PowerPoint slides and translating technical language into layperson's terms.

  • Communicates technical information and security concerns to departments within the organization.

  • Designs, develops, and implements specified security solutions, application security design, assessments, testing, and remediation.

  • Provides guidance to cross-functional teams to integrate information security measures into various development lifecycle stages.

  • Enhances processes with expertise knowledge in security standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST CSF, HITRUST, CIS CSC.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent years of experience and education

EXPERIENCE

  • Five years' experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.

  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.

  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

  • Rare climbing.
