Overview:Reporting directly to the Human Resources Business Partner, the Sr. Human Resources Coordinator performs complex administrative and project work related to benefits and leave administration for union and non-union employees.

Job Description:

Essential Functions

Benefits

  • Administers the Company’s benefits program including conducting the location’s open enrollment meetings and communication s .

  • Serves as site’s primary contact and a ssist s employees with benefits questions and/or issues.

  • Ensures new hires enroll in benefits in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Performs regular audits on benefits eligibility for new hires and job changes to ensure accuracy of benefit changes as appropriate .

  • Process open enrollment and life qualified events changes.

  • Serves as a liaison between employees and health services to coordinate employee work restrictions and accommodations.

  • Proactively manages Workday in order to ensure data integrity.

    Leave Administration

  • Manage and track LOA process with third party administrator for both non-union and union population, collaborating between management, HR and payroll as needed.

  • Tracks time off due to all LOA including but not limited to personal leave, worker’s compensation, FMLA, parental leave and disability.

  • Subject matter expert for employees with inquiries about LOA and engages in the interactive process if necessary.

  • Partners with Health Services to determine if work restrictions can be accommodated with review of employee’s job description.

  • Proactively manages Workday in order to ensure data integrity.

    Human Resources

  • Support site’s HR team with various HR processes /tasks to deliver high quality HR services.

  • Provide daily HR activities to support recruiting, new employees’ assimilation, retention, and employee relations . Provide translation as needed for all areas within the employment cycle .

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources , Organizational Development, Communications or 5 years equivalent experience and/or certification

  • Experience in both non-union and union manufacturing environments preferred.

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience serving in a Human Resources related role.

  • Knowledge of state and federal FMLA regulations, ADA and worker’s compensation

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office application s , particularly MS Word, Excel , Power Point and Outlook

    Language Skills

    Successful candidate must be fluent in the English and Spanish language (oral and written

    Mathematical Skills

    Basic math skills required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

    Reasoning Ability

    This position requires the ability to work independently, exercise good judgment and be proactive. The candidate must also maintain confidentiality to ensure that the integrity of the department is not jeopardized.

    Ability to prioritize effectively, think independently and problem solve to ensure all projects are completed in an effective and timely manner.

    Physical Demands

    Job requires sitting and occasional walking in a fast-paced environment.

    Work Environment

    Office atmosphere . May also need to occasionally come into production areas that are cold and wet.
