Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Semi-Skilled Laborer (Seasonal) - Trough Creek State Park in James Creek, Pennsylvania

This position is part of the Canoe Creek State Park Complex, however the reporting location will be Trough Creek State Park.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of this position, you will be responsible for carrying out semi-skilled tasks either independently or in collaboration with a skilled worker throughout Canoe Creek State Park Complex.  This includes repairing buildings and facilities using various tools from carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other building trades. You will also be responsible for operating and maintaining vehicles and equipment used in the park. Additionally, you will be involved in tasks such as building forms for cement work, laying stone and block walls, and performing ground maintenance like mowing, cutting weeds, and cleaning drains. You will also be responsible for site preparation, planting and maintaining trees and shrubs, painting park buildings, and performing general housekeeping duties. Lastly, you will assist park visitors and provide them with helpful information in a friendly manner.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Seasonal, full-time employment without benefits Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Sunday - Tuesday, and Friday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
