Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries, General Ledger account analysis, roll forwards, and other analysis required for the month-end close.

  • Timely and accurate completion of monthly financial close

  • Editing and reconciling financial reports and providing resolutions for accounting issues

  • Complete understanding of accounting principles and policies.

  • Assist in the preparation financial reports for management with understanding of causes of variances to prior month, previous year, and budgeted results.

  • Monthly reconciliation and resolution of balance sheet accounts

  • Special projects as required

  • Calculation and reconciliation of commissions, referrals, audit and filing fees, rebates, etc.

  • Understand and assist in management of financial controls

  • Measure and Report on aged revenue and expenses

  • Working knowledge of Accounting Operations (A/P, A/R, Billing, Document Mgmt)

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Experienced professional with minimum 2 years’ experience in corporate accounting and general ledger. Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience and ability to prioritize and multi-task in high volume deadline driven environment

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Must be skilled in dealing with financial data and have excellent verbal/writing skills

  • Strong organizational skills, detailed oriented

  • Must be willing and able to work with several different departments/locations and manage multiple tasks daily.

  • Ability to take ownership for projects and drive to completion

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
