We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting in various accounting tasks including but not limited to preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. 100% IN OFFICE, LOCATED IN JAX, FL

salary: $60,000 - $68,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and monitor variances between actual and budgeted financial performance. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations, including tax filings and statutory reporting requirements. Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during financial audits. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Ad-hoc Projects: Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.
